A Campaign for the Library’s Future
The Easthampton Public Library is at a pivotal moment in its history.
The existing library has served the city superbly for over 100 years, but the building can no longer adequately meet the current needs of a city of 16,000 people. Easthampton deserves a fully-accessible library with space for events, meetings and classes.
Thanks to the generosity of bank ESB, there is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to expand library operations into a new space, the 52 Main Street Annex, and to envision moving library operations fully into a renovated new space. Each step of this move will take work, planning, and, yes, funds!

ANNUAL FUNDRAISING
The Annual Fund - GOAL $57,500 for Year (July 2024-June 2025)
Your gift this year will help:
- Fundraising and endowment supports all Library Programs
- Operating costs of new location for events, meetings and classes
- Improve staffing levels to be in line with statewide standards

Phase 1 - Initial Renovation – GOAL $600,000
Your multi-year gift will help:
- Renovation costs for current use – events, meetings and classes
- Initial building improvements that prepare for future renovations
- Support planning to create a more efficient, less costly library
