The Easthampton Public Library Book Bike is a unique, mobile library experience that brings books, movies, and library services right into the heart of our community. Designed to make library resources accessible to everyone, the Book Bike travels to neighborhoods, local events, and popular gathering spots around Easthampton, offering residents a chance to browse and borrow materials on the go. Whether you’re a frequent library visitor or someone new to our services, the Book Bike is here to connect you with great reads and resources—all within a short bike ride away.

Home Delivery & Book Bike Services

Home Delivery
The mission of the Easthampton Public Library is to meet the informational, research, educational, and recreational needs of Easthampton and the surrounding communities. It has long been part of our library’s service plan to provide delivery services to Easthampton residents who are unable to leave their homes to visit the library. We now have the ability to offer home delivery of library materials to residents who need it!

How Does Home Delivery Service Work?

Easthampton residents interested in Home Delivery need to complete a brief application form, an agreement form, and provide us with information about your interests. Let us know:

• The types of books you like to read (fiction, non-fiction, mystery, etc.)
• Your favorite authors
• The types of movies you enjoy
• The preferred format for books (large print, audiobooks, etc.)

Our Home Delivery staff member will work with you to select materials that match your preferences or to place specific requests for items you would like to borrow.

How Are Deliveries Made?

Deliveries are made on Tuesdays. The library’s Home Delivery staff will gather any holds or selected items from our collection and bring them directly to you. When your new materials are ready, the staff member will call to give you an approximate delivery time.

When we bring you new items, you can return any items you’ve already enjoyed directly to the Home Delivery staff, who will handle the returns for you.

Book Bike Trailer

Our Book Bike Trailer serves as a mobile library, bringing a selection of library materials to various locations around Easthampton. You can meet us and borrow items directly from the trailer!

The Book Bike regularly visits the following locations:

• The Treehouse Community
• The Lathrop Community
• Easthampton Farmers’ Market
• Many other community events throughout Easthampton

How to Sign Up for Home Delivery or Request a Visit from the Book Bike

If you would like to receive Home Delivery service, you can download an application packet from the library’s website, or contact us to have the forms sent by mail or email.

If you would like to arrange a visit from our Book Bike Mobile Library, or suggest a location for a future visit, please reach out to the Library Director or the Home Delivery staff.
